The Ferrum String Quartet begins its 2017 concert series on Sunday, March 12th at 2:00pm at Old Saint Luke's Church in Scott Township, PA with "Music for Flute, Harp, and Strings." Come hear works by Debussy and Mozart, and enjoy a nice, relaxing Sunday afternoon with the Ferrum String Quartet, featuring California native Sophie Graf on Harp, and flutist Zoe Sorrell, who directs the musical group NAT 28.

Donations are most welcomed as admission is free to the public.

Come and be haunted most excellently as Greg Weiss presents Dickens' timeless tale of transformation and redemption for all ages. Accompanied with live music by Stephen Weiss, he fully voices over two dozen characters. Whether done at libraries, community centers, churches or public houses, his presentation of A Christmas Carol has received audience acclaim for over 15 years.

This event will be recorded live for a CD, to be released Spring, 2017.

The simple tune made world famous by American Composer Aaron Copland opens this wonderful concert. You’ll be amazed at the range and complexity of the percussion family as guest artist, Svet Stoyanov joins the WSO to perform Jennifer Higdon’s Percussion Concerto. This amazing concert concludes with Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 (From the New World) one of the most popular symphonic works in the repertoire. Dvorak was inspired by the music of Native Americans and African American Spirituals. Astronaut Neil Armstrong took a recording of this symphony on his Apollo 11 mission, the first Moon landing, in 1969!
